On March 25,2016, China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance published two new Alliance standards, i.e., "Dynamic test method for the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors" and "Reflectance test method of glass mirror for concentrated solar power".
"Dynamic test method for the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors" was drafted by Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), Beijing Shouhang Resources Saving Co., Ltd., China Power Engineering Consulting Group Cooperation, Beijing General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals, Beijing Sunpu Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Rayspower, Jiangsu Sunhome New Energy Co., Ltd., Wuhan Sunnpo Solar Technology Co., Ltd., Royal Tech CSP, Camda New Energy, etc. This standard provides the dynamic test method and calculation procedures for determining the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors. This standard is applicable to the solar collectors that trough reflectors with the parabolic cross section are used to concentrate the sunlight into the focal line and the heat transfer fluid at work is a single phase liquid. The collectors cover both collector assembly and collector row.
"Reflectance test method of glass mirror for concentrated solar power" was drafted by China Building Material Test & Certification Group Co., Ltd., China Building Integrated Photovoltaic Product Test Center, Wuhan Sunnpo Solar Technology Co., Ltd., Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), Beijing TeraSolar Photothermal Technologies Co., Ltd., Rayspower and China National Safety Glass and Quartz Glass Test Center. This standard is applicable to the testing and calculation of solar hemispherical reflectance and specular reflectance of the glass mirror for concentrated solar power. This standard is also the draft for approval of national standard. Once the national standard is issued, this Alliance standard will become invalid automatically.
So far, China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance has published ten standards, including "Test methods for heliostats’ quality", "Test methods for the performance of medium-temperature non-tracking solar collectors", "Test methods for heliostats’ tracking accuracy", "Measurement methods for the surface shape of the solar concentrator", "Method for testing and product quality evaluation of solar air conditioner", "Terminology for medium temperature solar thermal utilization", "Test methods for the thermal performance of medium temperature solar air collectors", "Test method of properties of thermal storage materials for medium temperature solar energy system", "Dynamic test method for the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors" and "Reflectance test method of glass mirror for concentrated solar power".
