On March 4th, reporters from "Barkol Close-Up" learned at the site of Energy China Hami 1500MW "Solar (Thermal) Storage" Base Project that the project has fully completed safety training and safety inspections, meeting the conditions for resuming work and production. The site has gradually entered the assembly and installation stage of heliostats, and the main plant and solar tower parts have also resumed construction.
Yu Hua, the project manager of Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., LTD, of China Power Engineering Consulting Group said, "Our overall progress is currently at 30%. We plan to complete the entire work of the solar tower this year, assemble the heliostats, and by the end of this year, meet the conditions for grid connection and power generation."
According to previous reports, the project is being developed in an integrated "solar thermal + photovoltaic" mode, with a solar thermal power generation capacity of 150MW (heat storage duration of 8 hours) and a photovoltaic power generation capacity of 1350MW. The CSP project is EPC contracted by Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., LTD, of China Power Engineering Consulting Group and Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. is the supplier of the solar thermal collection system.
