Recently, China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance organized a reviewing meeting on the draft of Dynamic test method for the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors, which intended to apply for becoming the Alliance’s standard. Mr. Junsheng Zhu, leader of the Alliance’s standardization expert panel, hosted the meeting.
Dynamic test method for the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors was drafted by the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS). AGC Flat Glass (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Rayspower, Beijing Shouhang Resources Saving Co., Ltd., Royal Tech CSP, Beijing Sunda Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Tsinghua Solar, Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Sunhome New Energy Co., Ltd., Shanxi Lihu Glass and Camda New Energy Co., Ltd participated in the preparation.
This standard provides the dynamic test method and calculation procedures for determining the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors. This standard is applicable to the solar collectors that trough reflectors with the parabolic cross section are used to concentrate the sunlight into the focal line and the heat transfer fluid at work is a single phase liquid. The collectors cover both collector assembly and collector row.
At the meeting, one of the main writers, Dr. Li Xu, elaborated the content of this Test Method. Based on detailed inquiry and discussion, the expert panel all agreed that the Test Method is of great significance in promoting the healthy and orderly development of CSP industry of China. It is scientific, reasonable and feasible. In addition, the text format fully meets up with GB/T1.1 standards. It’s suggested that after further revising, the Test Method shall be submitted to the joint meeting of the Alliance’s chairmen for final approval in order to be published as the Alliance’s standard.
Nowadays, China is experiencing the initial time in commencing the first group of national CSP demonstration projects, and in this context, formulation of related CSP standards is urgent and necessary, which matters a lot to the healthy development of the industry. ”Serious, precise, scientific and feasible” has always been the principal of the Alliance’s standardization work. Next, the Alliance would continue promoting the standardization work with high quality and preciseness, so as to make further contribution to the rapid but healthy development of CSP industry in China.
