On November 5th, under the organization of China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, a group consisting of representatives of more than 30 enterprises visited AGC Flat Glass (Dalian) Co., Ltd. At the same time, a workshop on concentrating solar power (CSP) reflector was held with the help of the Alliance and the AGC.
This visit was one of the annual activities of the Alliance, aiming to let more people know the Alliance’s members and make exchange on specific technologies. During the workshop, three CSP mirror suppliers, i.e. Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power, Damin and Lihu Glass gave the keynote speech, introducing their own CSP reflector technologies and production line. It’s all agreed that the accuracy of reflector and shape precision are the crucial index for evaluating the performance of parabolic trough concentrator and heliostats. It’s pressing to develop and establish the mirror testing standards and quality control system with the context that China National Energy Administration is organizing the CSP demonstration projects.
The vice president of the Alliance presented the workshop and concluded that, the Alliance, as the service platform would further improve the Alliance’s standards on CSP, establish the public technical service & testing platform to provide better services for the Alliance’s members as well as the industrial development.
