Power Generation of CNNC Yumen Yumen Xin’ ao 100,000kw Molten Salt Linear Fresnel "Solar Thermal +" Project Is Rising Steadily
According to the vice chairman unit of the CSTA - Lanzhou Dacheng Technology Co., Ltd. on May 1, the global largest linear Fresnel - type concentrated solar power project in mirror field scale - the China National Nuclear Corporation's (CNNC) Yumen Xin’ ao "CSP + PV + wind power" demonstration project's 100,000 kw CSP project - set a new daily generation record of 978,100 kWh. This is the third time the project has set a new daily generation record this month, following the 658,500 kWh on April 22 and 967,600 kWh on April 25.
The CSP project was successfully connected to the power grid on September 20, 2024, marking the first "CSP + PV + wind power" project in China to achieve full - capacity operation. Dunhuang Dacheng Shenneng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., LTD, of China Power Engineering Consulting Group jointly served as the EPC contractors for the project.
