The Receiver Tube Screen Hoisting of the Tangshan Haitai 100MW Solar Thermal Tower Project, EPC-Contracted by NWEPDI, Is Fully Completed
Recently, the receiver tube screen hoisting for the Tangshan Haitai 100-megawatt solar thermal tower project, which was EPC-contracted by Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., LTD, of China Power Engineering Consulting Group(hereinafter referred to as " NWEPDI "), has been fully completed.
The Tangshan Haitai 100MW solar thermal tower project is a base-type integrated comprehensive energy demonstration project. By combining solar thermal energy storage with optimized photovoltaic power sources and complementary operation, it can address the current bottleneck of large-scale development of new energy bases, promote the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system, and facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the energy industry.
The receiver is one of the core components of a CSP station, and the receiver tube screen is the core part of the receiver. Its function is to absorb the solar energy reflected by the heliostats and convert it into thermal energy of the molten salt, the heat transfer medium inside the tube screen. The tube screen consists of a total of 16 panels, each weighing 16.5 tons, with a height of 22.5 meters, and the installation height reaches 200.8 meters. The hoisting of the first receiver tube screen began on March 15th and was fully completed on March 23rd.
Currently, the project is transitioning from the installation phase to individual and sectional trial operation. Subsequent work will be carried out according to the schedule, including salt melting and pipe blowing, and the project is progressing steadily towards the goal of grid connection.
