On March 28, the Sixth Council Representative Assembly and Chairman's Joint Meeting of the CSTA were successfully held in Kunle Bay, Handan, Hebei.
The meeting strictly followed the provisions of the "Alliance Agreement" and elected the new leadership of the CSTA through a preferential secret ballot. Wang Zhifeng, a researcher at the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected as the chairman; Zhao Xiaohui, General Manager of the Science and Technology Innovation Center of Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., LTD, of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, was elected as the executive chairman. Fan Duojin, General Manager of Lanzhou Dacheng Technology Co., Ltd., Kou Jianyu, General Manager of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Survey & Design Institute Co., Ltd., Liu Luping, a professor-level senior engineer and senior economist atPowerChina Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited, Wang Haoyi, Director of the Onshore Energy Department at the Renewable Energy Research Institute of China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, and Xiao Gang, a professor and Deputy Director of the Thermal Energy Institute at Zhejiang University (listed in alphabetical order of surnames) were elected as vice chairmen.
