On March 15, the 100MW tower solar thermal project of CHN Energy Qingyu DC, located in the world's largest Talatan Photovoltaic Industrial Park in Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, completed the installation of 23,000 heliostats, marking the end of all mirror field construction works.
It is understood that the project is situated at an average altitude of 3,000 meters, with an installed capacity of 100MW. The total light-receiving area of the mirror field is 700,200 square meters, and the equivalent heat storage duration is 12 hours. The project is expected to generate an average annual electricity output of 223 million kWh. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in the second half of 2025, with an expected average annual electricity generation of 223 million kWh.
