During the Spring Festival, the Hainan Qingyu DC Phase II 100,000 kW solar thermal power project, jointly general contracted by the director unit of CSTA - Northwest Engineering Corporation Limited (referred to as: POWERCHINA NORTHWEST), is progressing orderly. Currently, the civil construction is basically completed, and the project has fully entered the stage of equipment installation and high-temperature tank welding, with the main plant's main equipment essentially installed.

The solar thermal project has an installed capacity of 100MW, adopting the molten salt tower technology route, with a total light collection area of 700,200 square meters, a thermal storage capacity of 2,780MWht, and an equivalent thermal storage duration of 12 hours. The project is jointly EPC general contracted by Northwest Engineering Corporation Limited and PowerChina Hubei Engineering Co., Ltd with the concentrating and heat collection system equipment provided by Cosin Solar. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate an average annual electricity of 230 million kilowatt-hours, save about 68,100 tons of standard coal per year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 185,400 tons per year, offering good economic, environmental, and social benefits.
