Recently, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang Province announced the "List of Advanced (future) Technological Innovation Achievements in Zhejiang Province in 2023" (the “List” ), and the "Molten Salt Energy Storage (MSES) Technology" independently developed by Cosin Solar was successfully selected.
The Solicitation of the List is mainly open to key development industries such as "Internet +", hydrogen energy and energy storage, low-cost carbon capture, utilization, and storage. The achievements must be strongly innovative, forward-looking, and internationally (or domestically) leading with important application value or potential application prospects.
MSES is a low-cost and high-efficient thermal energy storage technology, which absorbs energy at low temperature and release energy at high temperature. It mainly includes MS heating system, MS heat storage system and steam generation system.
Through more than a decade of technical research and engineering practice, Cosin Solar has developed a complete set of engineering solutions for high-temperature MSES, formed a series of proprietary technologies covering high-temperature MS process design, core equipment and key equipment design and development, and cultivated a technical personnel team integrating technology research and development, engineering design, construction management, energy storage debugging and operation and maintenance. And it has realized the large-scale production and engineering application of MSES related products. The relevant technology has obtained 45 authorized patents, including 24 invention patents.
