With 10GW CSP planning, the multi-energy complementary plan of Aksay RE base passed the environmental impact assessment

On May 26, East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group received the review opinion of the "Environmental Impact Assessment Report on the Multi-Energy Complementary Planning of Aksay Renewable Energy base in Jiuquan City", which states that the EIA work was successfully completed.

The base is located in the south side of Aksay County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, with the planned capacity of tens of millions kilowatts of renewable energy, covering a total area of about 3,138 km². It is divided in to sectors of wind farm, solar PV, concentrated solar power (CSP) and pumped storage power station, with the planned in stallation capacity by 2035 is 5GW,  9GW, 10GW and 2.6GW respectively.

The benchmark year of the plan is 2020, the near and medium term is 2021-2025, the medium and long term is 2026-2030, and the long-term outlook is 2035.
