Including 10GW CSP projects, Gansu Akse plans to build"pure clean energy base"

On February 18, the People's Government of Akse County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Provinceissued a public announcement to seek public opinion on environmental impact evaluation of 10GW-scale renewable energy base planning of Akse County.

The Akse 10GW level renewable energy base will build a plurality of photovoltaic, CSP (concentrating solar power), wind power, and pumped storage, which will be a "pure cleaning energy base" , while supplemented hydrogen energy and energy storage power stations. The planned PV capacity is 9GW, the CSP is 10GW, the wind power is 5GW, and the pumped storage power station is 2.6GW.

The planned base year was 2020, the near-middle term is from 2021 to 2025, the middle term is 2026 - 2030, and the long-term prospect is to 2035.

The plan was prepared by East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group (ECEPDI).
