In order to meet the needs of upcoming solar thermal power plant market development, China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance started the preparation work of a batch of Alliance standards recently.
The Alliance intends to start the establishing of several proposed standards, including “Glass tube for parabolic trough receiver tube”, “Thermal cycling test methods of selective absorbing coating and parabolic trough receiver tubes”, “Test methods for the quality and performance of heliostat mechanical transmission system”, “Evaluation methods for the quality and performance of heliostat glass reflective mirrors”, “Test methods for the quality and performance of heliostat brackets”, “Test methods for the thermal performance of solar thermal receivers”, “Test methods for the thermal performance of high-temperature solid sensible heat storage devices”, “Testing specifications for the optical efficiency of parabolic trough receiver tubes”, “Testing specifications for the flux density of concentrators ” and “Testing specifications for the performance of heat storage materials and devices”. The Alliance is now soliciting the drafting units of the above standards among its members.
Besides, the Alliance members can propose other standards that should be established based on their own and industry development needs.
The standard is the summary of the experience of science, technology and practice, and it plays an irreplaceable role in the process of national economic development. The Alliance has always attached great importance to the preparation work of standards. So far, the Alliance has published ten standards, including "Test methods for quality of heliostat", "Test methods for the performance of medium-temperature non-tracking solar collectors" and "Test methods for the solar heliostat tracking accuracy", “Measurement methods for the surface shape performance of the solar concentrator”,” Reflectance test method of glass mirror for concentrated solar power”,” Dynamic test method for the thermal performance of parabolic trough solar collectors”,etc. (Translated by Cheng Wenyan)
