SolarPACES 2015
conference opened in Cape Town,
South Africa on
October 13, 2015. The conference was hosted by IEA-SolarPACES, and organized by
Southern Africa Solar Thermal and Electricity Association, European Solar
Thermal Electricity Association and University
of Stellenbosch. As the
most authoritative and most appealing conference in CSP and thermochemistry, it
attracted more than 550 participants including top experts, well-known
enterprises and influential investors in solar thermal application field from different
parts of the world.
China National Solar
Thermal Energy Alliance, the platinum sponsor of the conference, organized its
members to build designed booth in the exhibition area, and exhibited their
technologies and products to foreigners aiming to enhance the image of the membership.
Royal Tech CSP, which showed its latest 5-meter-long parabolic trough solar
collectors, and Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power Co., Ltd, which exhibited its
RP1~RP4 series of product samples, both took part in this conference. South
African Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (SABC) interviewed the representatives of Sundhy
and Royal Tech Solar respectively, showing its great interest in China's CSP products.
The Alliance hoped
that the exhibition in the conference would play a positive role in promoting its
members stepping into the international market.
The conference lasted four days, from Oct. 13 to
Oct. 16. Several Alliance
members, including Xi’an Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Electric
Power Planning & Engineering Institute, Institute of Electrical
Engineering, CAS, Royal Tech CSP, Rayspower and Sundhy, attended the
conference.
