The first China Solar Thermal Electricity Conference closed successfully in Dunhuang city, Gansu province, China on August 21st, 2015. The conference is directed by New Energy & Renewable Energy Department of National Energy Administration, organized by National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, Chinese Renewable Energy Society, Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering.
The conference includes five breakout sessions and two industry sessions. The breakout sessions mainly focus on key technologies and basic scientific issues of concentrating, key technologies and basic scientific issues of thermal receiver, advanced fluid and thermal storage technologies, systems control and new power technologies, solar thermal electricity standards and testing. The two industry sessions are investment and financing on STE and session of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance.
Ms. Zhang Fengling, deputy secretary general of China Alliance of Solar Tracking Industry, and Ms. Zhang Haobin, vice president of Rayspower Energy Group Co., Ltd, gave speeches on the closing ceremony. Dr. Wang Zhifeng, Chair of the conference, delivered the closing speech, in which he expressed his gratitude to the sun, the long history, the motherland, all the participants and conference staff. The closing ceremony ended with all the participants singing the song “Ode to the Motherland”, which brought it to a climax.
