2013 Solar Thermal Utilization Forum for Postgraduates Students, which was organized by National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance and hosted by Shanghai Jiaotong University, was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University Sino-Italian Green Energy Laboratory on Nov.11, 2013. Nearly 50 representatives attended the forum.
Ms. Wu Jingyi, party secretary of School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Mr. Liuxiaobing, secretary-general of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, addressed the forum.
The forum topics include solar thermal collectors, equipment, material, solar air-conditioner, medium temperature solar thermal collecting and industry application, concentrated solar power, solar-assisted heat pump, solar buildings, etc.. Those who made keynote speeches on the forum include: Mr. Wang Zhifeng, president of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance; Mr. Wang Ruzhu, a professor from Shanghai Jiaotong University; Mr. Cheng Xiaomin, a professor from Wuhan University of Technology; Mr. Zhao Li, a professor from Tianjin University; Mr. Bi Chengye, a professor senior engineer from Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group; Mr. Li Haoju, manager of Sunrain Solar Energy Group Co., Ltd.. According to the voting results of the judges, Wang Chao from Beijing University of Technology and Zhao Yao from Shanghai Jiaotong University won the Best Speech award, and Li Xian from Shanghai Jiaotong University won consolation prize.
This forum provides a stage for postgraduate students to show their talents and research capacity, and a chance for solar thermal enterprises to recruit technical and research talent.
