Dear Chairmen, Dear friends, Ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning! I am very glad to have this opportunity to come to such a beautiful city, Sevilla, to attend the China-Spain cooperation workshop for CSP technology. First, I’d like to appreciate the organizer and sponsors of this workshop, for their providing a very good cooperation opportunity for companies and research institutes of both China and Spain.

Chinese National solar thermal alliance is one of 56 founded alliances proved by Chinese ministry of Science and Technology etc. Presently it has 77 members, covering renowned Chinese research institutes, universities, and famous companies in the CSP area. The main missions of the National solar thermal alliance are to promote the cooperation and exchange, project development, technology transfer within CSP industry, and to hold personnel training, etc.

Presently, authorized by National Energy Administration of China, our alliance is organizing the alliance members to carry out research on CSP feed-in-tariff policy in China. The establishment of Chinese CSP feed in tariff policy will definitely promote the development of CSP projects in China. Moreover, supported by Chinese ministry of Science and Technology and Chinese Standardization committee, our alliance is working out alliance standards for CSP industry. As requested by Chinese ministry of Science and Technology and Chinese Standardization committee, alliance standards will play an important part in the development of CSP industry.

In July 2012, the national development plan for CSP technology has been published by China's national development and reform commission. It is projected in the plans that built CSP plant will accumulate to 1000MW in 2015, and to 3000MW in 2020. Here I’d like to emphasize that the plants have to be built completely before the deadline. Actually, for us it is a very ambitious goal, and time left is very limited. Therefore, it is very important and also very necessary for Chinese CSP industries to cooperate and exchange with industries in Spain and other countries.

Our alliance will be very glad to provide a platform for cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and Spanish industries and research institutes. A broad area of work can be done including technology exchanges, market development, project negotiation, etc.. We will be very honored if we can contribute to the development of CSP technologies in China and Spain.

At last, on behalf of the National solar thermal energy alliance, I appreciate again the organizers and sponsors of the China-Spain cooperation workshop in CSP. I believe the workshop will be a great success. And I’d like to invite you to visit China and gain a firsthand experience about the development and deployment of CSP technologies in China.

That’s all. Thank you!
