8 tenders competing for EPC of 100 MW molten salt solar tower project developed by China Three Gorges

On June 28, China Three Gorges New Energy Co., Ltd got 8 tenders for its 100 MW molten salt tower CSP project in Jinta District, Jiuquan City of Gansu Province, China. 
 
The opening date of the bid was previously scheduled on June 13th, but was postponed to June 28th.
 
The 8 tenders are as follows:
 
Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd.
 
Beijing Equipment Installation Engineering Group Co., Ltd.
 
China Energy Engineering Group Northwest Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.
 
China Energy Engineering Group Northwest Design & Survey Institute Co., Ltd.
 
Beijing Shouhang IHW Resources Saving Technology Co., Ltd.
 
SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd.
 
Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd.
 
Harbin Turbine Co., Ltd.
 
The thermal storage hours has three options, 10 hrs, 11hrs or 12hrs, and the tender can adopt their tender solutions accordingly. The biding also set the upper limit prices of these three thermal storage options, with the highest limit of 2.75 billion CNY. Any bidding plan that costs more than 2.75 billion CNY will not be accepted. 
 
Next,the owner will evaluate the tender plans by comprehensive rating, among which the price part will depend on the investment per kWh.
 
This is the second 100MW molten salt tower CSP project that called for bid, followed by the Yumen Molten Salt Tower CSP Project owned by Beijing Guohua Power Co., Ltd with 6 tenders competing.
