National Energy Administration will publish solar heating policy, according to Xie Guangming, Executive Vice President of China Solar Thermal Industry Federation.
In the upcoming "National Renewable Energy Heating Guidance", solar heating would be placed in the first for the first time, which changes the previous “electric first, heating second” state. The guidance mentioned that solar thermal industry would substitute 30 million tons of standard coal each year, and in the whole energy structure the contribution rate of solar energy would account for 70% in 2015. That is, solar thermal industry will substitute 50 million tons of standard coal in 2015, and this number will double in 2020. The guidance also called for the introduction of relevant national policies, including carbon trading policy, carbon emission policy and preferential tariff policy, to ensure the implementation of solar heating policy.
