New Energy & Renewable Energy Department of NEA sent representatives to attend the meeting. Project team members, including China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute, Southwest Electric Power Design Institute, North China Electric Power Design Institute, attended the meeting.

In order to know about the CSP equipment and manufacturing capacity, NEA sent letters on “Entrusting to carry out investigation on CSP equipment capacity” to Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute and National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance on June 4, 2014. The kick-off meeting marked the start of the investigation.

On the kick-off meeting, Mr. Kong Tao from New Energy & Renewable Energy Department of NEA conveyed Deputy Director Liang Zhipeng's requirements. He stressed that the focus of this investigation is to know about the price level of domestic equipment, provide basis for CSP price-fixing, and survey the stimulating effect of CSP industry to other related industries. The attendees conducted serious discussions about outline and content of the investigation, forming specific working program.

According to the requirements of NEA, Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute and National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance should finish the investigation report before July 15, 2014. Intermediate outcomes should also be promptly reported to New Energy & Renewable Energy Department of NEA.

Until now, National Soar Thermal Energy Alliance has sent investigation letters to 53 units, and at the same time organized experts to some typical companies to conduct field investigation.
