The review meeting of Zero-C-Emission and Smart Energy Town Plan for 24th Winter Olympic Games in Chongli-China was held in Chongli county on April 30, 2014. Mr. Zhang Jun, county chief of Chongli county people’s government, Mr. Yin Zhigang, director of Development and Reform Bureau of Chongli county, Land Bureau, Wind Power Office, Urban Construction Bureau, Tourism Bureau and Traffic Bureau of Chongli County attended the meeting. The plan compilation group members, including Dr. Wang Zhifeng, Chairman of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, Mr. Liu Xiaobing, Secretary-general of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, Mr. Wang Weisheng, Director of China Electric Power Research Institute for New Energy, Dr. Zhong Jishou, Secretary-general of China Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance for Housing, Dr. Lei Tingzhou, researcher from Henan Academy of Sciences and Dr. Yang Ming from Institute of Electrical Engineering, CAS, also attended the meeting. Professor Zhu Jialing from Tianjin University and Professor Sun Baomin from North China Electric Power University participated the meeting.
On behalf of the compilation group, Dr Wang Zhifeng, Chairman of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, introduced the project background, core idea, project plan, analysis of environmental social benefits and implementation step, etc.. The relevant departments of Chongli County reviewed the report content, and they thought the report gave the definition and implementation patterns of Zero-C-Emission, having strong practical significance, and can guide the future work of Chongli County. The compilation group said they would supplement and perfect the plan with application procedures of 24th Winter Olympic Games moving forward.
The editor in chief of Zero-C-Emission and Smart Energy Town Plan for 24th Winter Olympic Games is National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance and renewable energy expert team of 863 plan during 12th Five-Year-Plan period. The target of the plan is to build an energy supply network using 100% renewable energy, and to provide green and safe heat and power for inhabitants’ power utilization, heating, traffic, and the games in Chongli County during the 24th Winter Olympic Games.
