A 50MW parabolic trough solar thermal project developed by Shenzhen Jinfan Energy Science & Technology Co., Ltd. started construction in Akesai county,
The first phase of the project, including the construction of 216 trough loop, covers an area of 6 square kilometers, with thermal storage for 15 hours. And its maximum annual average utilization time is up to 5160 hours, the designed annual output is 256 million kWh, with a total investment of 1.986 billion yuan. The construction period of the project is 30 months, and will be connected to the grid by the end of 2015.
It is reported that the installed capacity of the project is expected to be 3 million kW in 2020, and 5 million kW in 2025.
