The Institute for Thermal Power Engineering(ITPE) of Zhejiang University of China was established in 1989, formerly known as Zhejiang University Combustion Theory and Technology Department. The ITPE is one of the important research bases focus on the country of the Universities in Clean Energy Utilization and Environmental Engineering, one of the disciplines of Engineering Thermophysics national key disciplines, the first national "211" and "985" key construction disciplines, the State Council approved the first batch of doctoral and master's degree programs. The ITPE has a national post-doctoral program, the National Institute of combustion Technology Engineering Center CWS and State Key Laboratory of clean Energy Utilization.
