On August 17, at the 2018 annual meeting of Yumen County Regional Economic Development Forum, Yumen Municipal Government signed contracts with Hangzhou Juda Energy Technology Co., Ltd., CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu BCP Solar Technology Co., Ltd. The solar thermal power generation project strategic agreements include 10MW diss solar thermal power generation project, 100MW tower-type CSP project and Xinneng Glow-heat Phase II 50MW CSP project, with a total capacity of 360MW. In addition, the government and Luneng New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd. signed the project of 700MW multi-energy complementary power generation.
At the same time, nine experts, including the executive vice president of China Solar Thermal Alliance, Dr. Wang Zhifeng, were hired as industry development counselor of Yumen City and special expert of Yumen County Economic Experts Advisory Committee.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Zhifeng was invited to conduct a keynote speech about “Basic Concepts of Solar Thermal Power Generation, Strategic Position and Development Strategy in a New Generation Energy Architecture”.
According to the introduction, Yumen City has obvious advantages in developing new energy and equipment manufacturing industry. In the field of solar thermal power generation, Yumen City is a region of solar energy resources which has taken the lead in compiling the “Yumen Huahai 5 Million kW Thermal Power Generation Base Plan”. In the list of the first 20 solar thermal power generation demonstration projects of the National Energy Administration, 4 projects have landed in Yumen. At the same time, Yumen launched the planning and construction of “Yumen Light and Hot Town”.
