On Aug.3, 2018, the Department of the High-Tech Development and Industrialization of Ministry of Science and Technology organized an acceptance check meeting for National S&T Enabling Program “Research and demonstration of solar thermal storage technology” in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia.
This project was approved by Ministry of Science and Technology in 2014, with China National Solar Thermal Alliance as its organizer. The project consists of 3 topics, which was undertaken by Gansu Building Materials Design&Research Institute, Tianjin University and Tsinghua University.
This project has studied the key technology of heat storage material preparation, developed two kinds of low temperature sensible heat storage materials of concrete and modified loess, and prepared three kinds of high temperature heat storage materials of concrete, mixed nitrate molten salt and mixed carbonate molten salt.The project has developed a low-cost focused solar collector and trough solar vacuum collector. The project has built a 500kWh high-temperature molten salt heat storage system, and built a focused solar multi-energy complementary water storage heating demonstration project with a heating area of 1600m2.
The expert group found that the project has completed the research content stipulated in the project approval, achieved the assessment indicators and the use of funds is basically reasonable. So they agreed it to pass the acceptance.
