Born in 1963, got the Bachelor degree in inorganic non-metallic materials science from Wuhan University of Technology in 1985, Master degree from Department of Inorganic Nonmetal Material Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology in 1990, Ph.D. degree in Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University in 1993.

Awardee of Ten Thousand Talent Program of China, Awardee of 100 talents program of CAS, distinguished backbone Professor of CAS since 2015.

Academic Interesting: Concentrating solar thermal power technology, Solar integrated building technology

 

Research field:

Concentrating solar thermal power system design, solar receiver design and coupling, thermal performance evaluation of solar receiver

Presided 2 national standards compiling; published more than 190 papers with more than 55 ones collected into SCI; awarded 98 invention patents. Participation in IEC TC117 for solar parabolic trough receiver..

 

Major innovative achievements：

·Presided the R&D, design, construction, commission and operation of 1MW solar tower power plant located in Badaling, Beijing

·Addressed the core scientific problems in non-stable solar-thermal-electricity process of CSP, which was funded by the National Key Basic Research Program of China, with excellence evaluation in final project approval 

·Proposed China solar thermal electricity development roadmap.

·Proposed building a zero-carbon Olympic Zone in Chongli for 2022 Winter Olympic application, and solving the building heating with cross-seasonal solar thermal collection/storage, which was published in 2022 Winter Olympic bidding report

·Deeply involved in the proposal of establishment of a renewable energy demonstration zone in Zhangjiakou city, which was approved by the State Council on July 29
