Chinese consortium of CGGC and Supcon Solar signed the EPC contract of 50MW Minos CSP project in Greece

On Nov. 11, 2019, under the joint witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) signed a financing cooperation agreement for the Greek Minos 50MW concentrated solar thermal power generation project and clean energy market in Greece. Meanwhile, the consortium of Energy China CGGC International Ltd and Supcon Solar signed the EPC contract  with NUR-MINOS Heliothermal of 50MW Minos solar tower project.
 
 
Minos CSP project, located in Crete island where has a rich solar resource, is developed by Nur Energie, the local company PRENECON will participate the construction work, and ICBC will provide the financial support. 
 
The project will meet 10% of Crete's electricity needs and will be of great significance to the protection of the island's ecological environment and tourism resources. The project will provide more than 500 jobs during construction and 50 more permanent jobs during the 25-year operation of the plant, Mr. Jin Jianxiang, president and chief engineer of Supcon Solar said.
 
Supcon Solar has two CSP plants under operation by now in Delingha, Qinghai Province with the capacity of 10MW and 50MW. Apart from that, Supcon solar is also the solar field EPC contractor  of 50MW solar tower plant in Gonghe, Qinghai Province.
