CSP serves the dual functions of both peak-shaving power generation and long-term thermal energy storage, possessing the potential to serve as a foundational power source. It is an effective means to achieve safe and reliable substitution of new energy for traditional energy sources. The Energy Law of the People's Republic of China explicitly states to "actively develop solar thermal power generation." The Opinions on Promoting the Scaled Development of CSP issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration propose that by 2030, the total installed capacity of CSP should strive to reach approximately 15 million kilowatts, with the cost per kilowatt-hour becoming basically comparable to that of coal-fired power generation. The technology should achieve international leadership with complete independent control, and the industry should achieve autonomous market-oriented and industrialized development, becoming a new internationally competitive industry in the field of new energy.
To continue promoting technical exchange and cooperation in CSP, continuously expand new application scenarios for CSP development and utilization, and assist in the scaled development of CSP, the CSTA and the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics will organize the 20th China Solar Thermal Power Generation Conference in Xining City, Qinghai Province, in mid-August 2026. The relevant matters concerning the conference are hereby notified as follows:

(A) Scope of Papers
Research on incentive policies for solar thermal power generation; economic analysis of CSP projects; regulating new energy power stations with CSP as the primary source; source-grid-load-storage integrated systems with CSP as the base power source; solar concentration, heat absorption, heat transfer, thermal storage, and heat exchange technologies; CSP system integration; CSP materials and equipment manufacturing; component and system reliability evaluation; solar resource assessment; solar thermochemistry; solar-coal complementary power generation; high-parameter large-capacity CSP technology; solar high-temperature thermal utilization; CSP CCER, etc.
(B) Paper Submission Instructions
1. Submission Requirements:The report content must be original and should reflect the latest research results, innovations, and applications in the field of CSP technologies.
2. Submission Method:Scan the QR code to fill in the abstract and other information online, or send the submission reply form. The abstract should clearly elaborate on the main content of the report for review purposes.
3. Paper Acceptance: The organizers will review submitted abstracts and comprehensively determine the form of presentation (oral or poster).
4. Key Dates:
- Abstract Submission Deadline: June 1, 2026
- Acceptance Notification Date: Before June 5, 2026
IV. Conference Registration
Experts in CSP technologies and industry chain representatives are cordially invited to attend. Participants are required to pay a registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses for delegates shall be borne by the participants themselves.
