Notice on the 3rd Concentrating Solar Power Photography Contest

To: Global photography enthusiasts, CSP industry professionals, media journalists, and green energy advocates,

The China Solar Thermal Alliance (CSTA) has successfully held two sessions of the Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) photography contest. In order to further spread the culture of the industry, the CSTA had launches the 3rd CSP Photography Contest. Details are announced below.

I. Theme

Solar collection technologies of CSP, including but not limited to: Parabolic trough receivers, Heliostats and mirrors, Dish and parabolic trough concentrators, Fresnel and tower solar fields. Capture their stability, reliability and artistic beauty of their symbiosis with nature.

II. Organizers

Organizer: Beijing Mide Solar Technology Co., Ltd.

Supporter: Solar Thermal Power Committee of Chinese Renewable Energy Society

III. Eligible Participants

Open to photography enthusiasts, energy-sector journalists, professional photographers, CSP professionals and anyone worldwide who champions green energy etc.

IV. Submission Period

September 30, 2025 – December 31, 2025

VI. Evaluation Criteria

1. Relevance to CSP heat collection technology

2. Composition and visual originality

3. Effective use of light and color

4. Creativity and emotional resonance

5. Reflection of sustainability and eco-values

6. AI or heavy post-processing will result in a 20% score deduction

VII. Prize setup

Grand Prize (1 person): RMB 10,000 +Certificate of honor

First Prize (2 persons): RMB 1,000 +Certificate of honor

Second Prize (3 persons): RMB 500 + Certificate of honor

Third Prize (4 persons): RMB 100 + Certificate of honor

Excellent Prize (TBD): Certificate of honor

Note: the Reward Amount is the Pre-Tax Amount

VIII. Registration
Please submit your works and the completed registration form to the designated contest email:
cnste@vip.126.com, no later than 31 December 2025.

IX. Important Notes

1. The right of attribution, copyright and all related intellectual-property rights of every submitted work remain with the entrant. The organisers (including the host, organiser and supporter ) may, however, edit, modify, abridge and disseminate the work for promotional activities connected with the contest. Any dispute or legal liability arising from intellectual-property issues related to the work shall be borne solely by the entrant; the organisers assume no responsibility.

2. After a work is selected, the organisers will collect its original data file for exhibition and catalogue production. Entrants must supply the digital file of any digitally captured image (or a high-resolution scan of the original negative for film-based images) within the prescribed period; failure to do so will be deemed a waiver of the right to exhibit.

3. All entries will be judged by a panel of professional reviewers. Prize winners will be invited to attend an awards ceremony, either online or on site.

4. No entry fee is charged and no submissions will be returned; entrants should retain their own backups.

5. For every selected work, the organisers retain the royalty-free, unrestricted right, throughout the entire copyright term, to display, publish and use the work by means of reproduction, distribution, exhibition, projection, internet transmission, publication or any other method, without further consent from or additional payment to the author.

6. Entrants must keep the original file of their work for verification after any award is given.

7. The organisers reserve the final right of interpretation of all contest rules and results.
