On October 26, the feasibility study review meeting for the 350 MW tower-type CSP project of Helius Solar (Qinghai Yuguang) in Golmud was held in Beijing. Adopting China’s first supercritical steam turbine generator unit for CSP, the project features high power generation efficiency and strong peak-shaving capability to deliver stable round-the-clock power supply.
On the same day, the three heat-absorbing towers of the 350 MW CSP demonstration project in Delingha — Qinghai Zhongkong, wholly owned by Helius Solar and equipped with 14-hour molten salt energy storage, were all topped out.
