Recently, the Luneng Haixi Solar Thermal Power Plant, constructed and operated by SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SEPCO III), celebrated the 7th anniversary of its commissioning. As of September 19, the plant had generated a cumulative total of over 589 million kWh of electricity.
As the world's first multi-energy complementary technology innovation project integrating "wind, solar, thermal, storage, grid regulation, and load," the Luneng Haixi Solar Thermal Power Plant has a total solar collection area of 610,000 square meters, consisting of 4,400 heliostats each measuring 138 square meters, and is equipped with a 12-hour thermal energy storage system. It is the first solar thermal unit in China to complete full grid-related tests, the longest-duration thermal storage facility in the country, and China's first solar thermal power plant capable of generating power continuously and stably around the clock. The successful operation of the project pioneered the clean energy transformation and development of the Haixi region and filled the technological gap in China for intelligent dispatching of wind, solar, thermal, storage, grid regulation, and load.

Over the past seven years, the operation and maintenance (O&M) project team of Luneng Haixi Solar Thermal Power Plant has adhered to the "dual-wheel drive" of scientific and technological innovation and refined management, driving the plant's power generation to repeatedly reach new record highs and its safe operation records to be continuously refreshed. The team has successively received multiple letters of commendation from the owner and successfully renewed the O&M service contract, delivering an impressive performance in the field of solar thermal power plant O&M.
Standing at the new starting point of the plant's 7th anniversary of operation, the O&M project team will continue to deepen the "technological innovation + refined management" approach, steadily advance intelligent O&M and predictive maintenance, and strengthen the integrated "commissioning and O&M" service advantages, making every effort to ensure the plant's safe, stable, and efficient operation, and further burnish PowerChina's brand in solar thermal power plant commissioning and O&M.
