Water Filling Test of Molten Salt Storage Tanks for Tibet Anduo Tushuo 100MW Tower CSP Project Successfully Completed

On August 9, the Anduo Tushuo 100MW tower Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project, invested and constructed by Tibet Development Investment Group Co., Ltd. , reached another critical milestone—the water filling test for the project's high-temperature and low-temperature molten salt storage tanks passed successfully in one attempt. All inspection data and equipment indicators fully complied with design standards and national industry regulations, marking the comprehensive verification and qualification of the core equipment installation quality for the project's thermal storage system, and laying a solid quality foundation for subsequent construction.

Molten salt storage tanks serve as the core energy storage hub of a CSP plant. The high-temperature and low-temperature dual-tank energy storage system is the key facility that directly determines the plant's energy storage and peak shaving capabilities, continuous stable power generation, and round-the-clock power supply. It is an important support for ensuring efficient and stable project operation and enhancing the new energy absorption capacity on the plateau. The high-temperature and low-temperature molten salt storage tanks tested this time adopt a professional structural design featuring large-volume circular domes, with a nominal tank diameter of 30.8 meters, a total height of 15 meters, and a maximum molten salt storage capacity of up to 20,000 tons. The project features large-scale energy storage, high technical standards, and stringent equipment precision requirements.

The water filling test is a critical comprehensive pressure-bearing verification procedure conducted before the commissioning of large storage tanks to inspect construction quality and eliminate safety hazards. It is also a prerequisite core step to ensure the safe filling of high-temperature molten salt and the smooth commissioning of the thermal storage system. During this test, the project construction team coordinated multiple parties to form a specialized task force, developed comprehensive special plans and emergency response protocols, and implemented 24-hour dynamic monitoring and closed-loop management of key processes such as water injection rate and pressure stabilization duration in strict accordance with the highest industry standards. After extended static observation and multi-dimensional verification, both the high-temperature and low-temperature molten salt storage tanks showed no deformation or leakage, and all core parameters met the required standards. The water filling test was successfully completed in one attempt.
