On June 6, the world's largest single-unit concentrated solar power (CSP) project under construction — the Delingha 350MW CSP Demonstration (Pilot) Project by Qinghai Zhongkong Solar Power Generation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Qinghai Zhongkong") — achieved a significant milestone: the first section of the receiver tower's cylinder wall was successfully cast. This milestone marks a solid foundation for the project's main structural construction.
Since groundbreaking, Qinghai Zhongkong has strictly implemented safety and quality management requirements, precisely controlled construction progress at every stage, and ensured orderly advancement of all work fronts. As the core structure of the project, the receiver tower is a critical component of the entire facility. The successful casting of the first section of the cylinder wall signifies that the project has officially entered the above-ground main structural construction phase.
Moving forward, Qinghai Zhongkong will continue to strictly control construction safety and quality, accelerate project construction progress, and ensure the project is completed and commissioned on schedule.
According to previous reports, the project is invested and constructed by Zhejiang Helius New Energy Co., Ltd. and implemented by Qinghai Zhongkong. The project's feasibility study report was approved on March 21, 2025; official construction began on December 28, 2025; the project officially resumed work on March 18, 2026; and it has now fully entered the peak construction phase including main structural work on the receiver tower, civil construction of the main plant building, installation of molten salt storage tanks, and heliostat field pillar installation.
