Tower CSP Technology and Domestic Molten Salt Valve Exchange Conference Successfully Held in Shanshan, Xinjiang

On May 24th, the Tower CSP Project Design, O&M Technology and Domestic Molten Salt Valve Substitution Exchange Conference was held in Shanshan, Xinjiang. Co-hosted by the China Solar Thermal Alliance, SPIC Henan Electric Power, and Beijing Jiejieneng, the conference brought together over 30 industry experts, technical specialists, and enterprise representatives to jointly advance the self-controllability of core CSP equipment.

Attendees conducted an on-site visit to the SPIC Shanshan 100MW Tower CSP Project, a landmark grid-connected project in Xinjiang whose high-temperature, high-differential-pressure operating conditions provide rigorous validation for domestic molten salt valves. The conference featured in-depth discussions on design optimization, O&M upgrades, and molten salt valve localization, proposing optimization solutions for challenges posed by large temperature differentials and strong sandstorms, while sharing O&M experiences on molten salt system anti-crystallization and anti-leakage measures.

Chairman Chen Jinhuan stated that Jiejieneng has been deeply committed to molten salt valve technology, having supplied nearly 1,000 units across more than ten projects, with operational performance widely recognized by the industry. Notably, Jiejieneng has overcome critical industry challenges that foreign products failed to address, including rapid molten salt temperature drops caused by mirror field cloud passage, valve salt leakage, and severe equipment vibration in high-differential-pressure down-tower molten salt regulation valves.

The conference concluded that domestic molten salt valves have achieved technological breakthroughs, demonstrating stable performance on par with international standards, successfully breaking overseas monopolies, and meeting conditions for large-scale promotion. Experts expressed commitment to deepening industry-academia-research-application collaboration, improving industry standards, accelerating comprehensive localization of core equipment, and supporting the high-quality development of the CSP industry.
