In the early hours of May 29, the steam turbine for the 150MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant of China Energy Engineering Investment Corporation Limited Hami "Solar (Thermal) + Storage" 1,500MW base project successfully completed its casing closure in one attempt. This marks the successful completion of the core body installation of the CSP power generation unit, laying a solid foundation for the project to achieve grid-connected power generation on schedule.

The project is located in Santanghu Town, Hami City, Xinjiang. It is currently the world's largest single-phase "CSP + PV" integrated project under construction. Upon completion, the localization rate will exceed 99%, with an estimated annual power generation of 2.9 billion kWh. The project is expected to save approximately 868,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 2.256 million tons annually. It holds significant importance for promoting the high-quality development of China's CSP industry, strengthening the support capacity of Xinjiang's power grid, and enhancing the safe and stable operation level of the grid.
