Tibet Anduo 100MW Solar Thermal Project, EPC Contracted by PowerChina Northwest, Fully Resumes Construction and Production

Spring returns to the earth, and all things are renewed. At this vibrant moment, the world's highest-altitude and Tibet's first tower solar thermal project—the Tibet Anduo 100MW Solar Thermal Project—officially announces its comprehensive resumption of work and production! At this moment, the project team returns to this hopeful site with a brand-new posture. This is not only the continuation of the project, but also a new collective charge toward the established goals.

As a key energy project of Tibet's "14th Five-Year Plan," the Tibet Anduo Tushuo 100MW Solar Thermal + 800MW Integrated Project's solar thermal component is located in the Tanggula high mountain area at an altitude of 4,645 to 4,657 meters, approximately 17.5 kilometers east of Pana Town in Anduo County. The total investment reaches 4.87 billion yuan, with the solar thermal portion accounting for 2.01 billion yuan.

The solar thermal project's mirror field has a total light-collecting area of approximately 800,000 square meters, with heat storage capacity of up to 8 hours. It applies an advanced model combining solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies, utilizing advanced molten salt tower technology, with designed annual equivalent utilization hours reaching 2,551 hours. According to design projections, the project's average annual power generation over 25 years can reach 255.08 million kWh. The project is invested and constructed by Tibet Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd., with a consortium of PowerChina Northwest and POWERCHINA SEPCO1 Electric Power Construction Corporation serving as the general contractor. Dongfang Electric Group Dongfang Boiler Co., Ltd. supplies key equipment including the concentrating and heat collection system, steam generator, and turbine generator set, and is responsible for subsystem debugging of the concentrating and heat collection system equipment. Inner Mongolia Electric Power Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. undertakes design supervision work.
