Cosin Solar has officially begun construction of the absorber tower for its 350 MW tower CSP project.

On October 27, the 350 MW tower CSP project in Golmud, developed by Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (Cosin Solar), recognized as the world’s largest single-unit CSP plant, reached a critical construction milestone with the successful completion of the first concrete pour for Absorber Tower No. 1. This marks the official commencement of the main civil works, laying a solid foundation for the full-scale and rapid advancement of the project.

Since breaking ground, project team of Cosin Solar has pursued careful planning and scientific organization to advance site works in an orderly manner. To date, temporary facilities are essentially finished, while foundation re-bar binding for Towers #2 and #3 and foundation work for the assembly workshop are proceeding in parallel. According to the master schedule, the three absorber towers will reach “above-ground zero-meter” status by mid-November 2025, and the assembly workshop’s main structure will be topped out before the end of December.

Faced with the harsh high-altitude challenges of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau—extreme cold, strong winds, and low oxygen—Cosin Solar will continue to work closely with all project partners. Through optimized construction plans, strengthened resource allocation, and a series of targeted measures, the company is fully committed to ensuring the high-quality and precise delivery of every key milestone, providing solid support for the project's on-schedule grid connection and power generation.
