The 100 MW CSP plant of CTGR SunSum in Guazhou has entered full-system trial operation.

On October 1, the 100 MW CSP storage unit of the 700 MW “CSP-Plus” project in Guazhou—developed by CTGR SunSum Technology Co., Ltd.(CTGR SunSum)—entered full-system commissioning; on October 2, the plant successfully moved into full-system trial operation, offering a gift for the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. A special CCTV reporting team went deep into the site and, between October 1 and 2, carried out multi-round, all-round, multi-angle live coverage on CCTV's News Channel and Finance Channel. In more than 20 minutes of stunning footage, they showcased this major scientific and technological innovation to the world.

The plant is being developed by CTGR SunSum (Jiuquan) New Energy Power Co., Ltd. The project has a total installed capacity of 700 MW—comprising 100 MW of CSP, 200 MW of PV and 400 MW of wind power. The EPC consortium is led by CHINA GEZHOUBA GROUP ELECTRIC POWER CO., LTD., together with SunSum Technology Co., Ltd. and Gansu Province Installation & Construction Group Co.,Ltd.
