International Training Program on Renewable Energy Technologies
Background
In response to the global call for climate action and energy transition, the development of renewable energy has become a shared international priority. Technology transfer and knowledge sharing are essential for achieving low-carbon growth. To promote cooperation and exchange in renewable energy technologies between China and developing countries in South and Southeast Asia, the Department of Science and Technology of Yunnan Province, in collaboration with Yunnan Normal University and the Yunnan Academy of Scientific & Technical Information (China-ASEAN Education and Training Center), will host a Training Program on Practical Renewable Energy Technologies.
Objectives
To promote the application of renewable energy technologies such as solar and biomass energy to reduce reliance on fossil fuels in neighboring countries, mitigate environmental pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and boost rural development.
Outline of Training
1. Solar Photovoltaic Applications
2. Solar Thermal Utilization
3. Energy Storage Technologies and Energy Management
4. Biomass Energy and Agricultural Waste Utilization
5. Field Practicum and Demonstration Visits
6. Thematic Seminars and Knowledge Exchange
Participants & Eligibility
Number of Participants: 20 people from energy-related authorities, enterprises, technology extension agencies, institutes or NGOs in South and Southeast Asian developing countries.
Fees
All in-China expenses during the training program, including tuition, training materials, accommodation, meals, and local transportation-will be fully covered by the organizers. A daily living allowance will also be provided.

Application Requirements
1. Be fluent in English, for that all the courses in the International Training Workshop will be in English.
2. Applicants should engage in the work related to new energy and renewable energy.
3. Participants are obliged to obey the relevant laws & regulations in China during the Training.
