On May 25, the 1GW solar thermal + photovoltaic integrated project in Xinjiang Turpan, which was invested in by China Energy Engineering Investment Corporation Limited and China Energy Engineering Group Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction CO., LTD. and was under the general contract of China Energy Engineering Group Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction CO., LTD., achieved full capacity grid connection.
The project is located in the Gobi interior of Qiketai Town, Shanshan County, Turpan, covering an area of 30 square kilometers. It includes the construction of a 100MW energy storage CSP station, a 900MW photovoltaic power station, and a 220kV step-up substation.
According to previous reports, the 100MW solar thermal part of the project was successfully connected to the grid on April 30. It was under the EPC general contract of Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Zhejiang Electric Power Design Institute CO., LTD.and Zhejiang Huaye Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., with the molten salt receiver system constructed by Dongfang Boiler CO., LTD. and production operation and maintenance services undertaken by Zhejiang Zhongguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
