On May 6, the Shanshan Qiketai 100MW CSP project, under the general contracting of SDEPCI succeeded in steam blowing at the first attempt. The system cleanliness and pipeline operation conditions have fully met the standards. Thanks to technological innovations like intelligent temperature control, the blowing period was 20% shorter than that of traditional processes. This marks the project's entry into the final stage of grid connection.
Reportedly, located in Qiketai Town, Shanshan County, Turpan, Xinjiang, the project is invested and constructed by State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Group Henan Electric Power Co., Ltd. With a total installed capacity of 1 GW, it includes 900 MW of PV capacity and 100 MW of CSP capacity. The 100-MW CSP project, featuring 12 hours of molten salt energy storage, uses the tower molten salt energy storage CSP technology independently developed by Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. which also provides and integrates the solar heat collection system.
