[Introduction] The evacuated tube collector is a key component in the conversion of solar energy into heat energy at trough-type solar thermal energy power plant. The performance quality and life span of evacuated tube collector directly affect the efficiency and investment economy of the whole trough-type thermal power generation system. The part suppliers and investors are both concerned about how to guarantee the life of trough evacuated tube collectors and minimize the rate of damage.
Zhou Fuyun, Deputy General Manager of CAMDA New Energy which hosted the meeting, introduced the company’s technology research & development and industrial layout in the solar thermal power generation field. Subsequently, Du Miao, an engineer of General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals; Cui Menglong, Deputy General Manager of Beijing TRX Solar Thermal Technology Co., Ltd.; and Lei Dongqiang, an associate researcher of the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave introduction to the key technology of trough-type evacuated tube collectors, respectively. Finally, the participants held thorough discussion on the key generic technology of trough-type evacuated tube collectors from such perspectives as technical research & development, testing, and design.
In the afternoon, the seminar also held exchange and discussion on the mirror field tracking and control technology of the trough solar thermal power plant, and visited the 1MW trough-type demonstration project of CAMDA New Energy. Thermal Focus (Beijing) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. released its dedicated tracking and control system with proprietary intellectual property rights for trough-type high-temperature molten salt thermal collectors for solar thermal electric power generation.
