Doha, October 22 (QNA) - The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development announced Tuesday the winners of the 10th edition of the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards, which include six categories within the energy sector. The award is regarded as one of the most prestigious global honors in the industry.
Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), Dr. Mohammed Yousef Al Mulla, won the award for the development of the energy industry in Qatar.
Managing Director and CEO of Santos, Kevin Gallagher, was awarded for his contributions to advancing the natural gas industry.
Founding Director of Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies (CSET), Prof. Xudong Zhao, received the award for advancing the education of future energy leaders.
Professor of Physics at Imperial College London, Prof. Jenny Nelson, was recognized for her work in advancing the renewable energy industry.
Neil Fleming, Vice President and Global Head of Editorial at Argus Media, received the award for advancing energy journalism, and Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni, was honored for his efforts in advancing international energy diplomacy.
