On August 1, Dongguan Securities released the Special Report on Concentrated Solar Power in Power Equipment and New Energy Industry.
According to the report,the key equipment of concentrated solar power has been basically localized,and the policy has promoted the large-scale development of the industry.
In 2016, the National Energy Administration launched the first batch of 20 concentrated solar power demonstration projects to promote the industrialization and development of China’s concentrated solar power technology,but also led related enterprises through independent innovation to break through a number of core technologies of concentrated solar power.
According to the National Energy Administration, by the end of 2022, China’s grid-connecteds concentrated solar power demonstration projects a total of 9,a total capacity of 550,000 kW.
In China’s first batch of concentrated solar power demonstration projects,the rate of equipment and materials localization is more than 90%,and the related technology and equipment have good reliability and advancement.In April 2023,China National Energy Administration issued a notice on promoting the large-scale development of concentrated solar power,proposing that a number of concentrated solar power projects should be implemented as soon as possible in combination with the construction of new energy bases in desert,Gobi and desert areas.During the»14th Five-Year Plan»period,the annual scale of new concentrated solar power in China will reach about 3 million kW.China’s concentrated solar power industry is expected to usher in large-scale development opportunities again during the»14th Five-Year Plan».
This year,the implementation of concentrated solar power projects is expected to accelerate,and the future large solar-wind base+concentrated solar power is expected to show a joint development trend.The allocation of a certain proportion of photovoltaic and wind power to heat storage concentrated solar power is conducive to further giving play to the advantages of Xinjiang’s solar-wind resources,accelerating the construction of large clean energy bases,and promoting the high-quality development of new energy and related industrial clusters.In the future,the domestic photovoltaic(wind power)+concentrated solar power renewable energy base mode is expected to show a trend of joint development.

In April this year,China National Energy Administration issued a document saying that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period,the new scale of concentrated solar power in China will reach about 3 million kilowatts every year.Recently,the bidding and winning announcements of concentrated solar power projects have increased successively.According to incomplete statistics of CSPPLAZA,in June 2023,there have been 11 concentrated solar power projects and a total of 20 related targets have completed the bidding.This year,the landing of concentrated solar power projects is expected to speed up.
By 2022,China’s cumulative installed capacity of concentrated solar power has reached 588MW,accounting for 8.3%of the global cumulative installed capacity of concentrated solar power.According to the currently announced projects,according to the statistics of grid connection before the end of 2024,China’s cumulative installed capacity of concentrated solar power is expected to reach 3948MW by the end of 2024.The compound annual growth rate of 2022-2024 is expected to reach 159%,and the s concentrated solar power industry will usher in large-scale development opportunities.

According to the announcement of Shouhang High-Tech Energy Technology Co.,Ltd,the current construction of 3 million kW scale of solar thermal power station investment scale of about 45 billion yuan-50 billion yuan,because the domestic has been built a number of demonstration projects and breakthroughs in a number of key technologies,key equipment localization rate reached more than 90%,so the current investment in the construction of the same scale of solar thermal power station cost has been reduced compared with the past.Therefore,if calculated according to the average value,that is,the investment in the construction of 3 million kW solar thermal power station is 47.5 billion yuan,the conservative estimate is that the scale of China’s concentrated solar power industry in 2022 is about 93.1 billion yuan,and it will reach 235.6 billion yuan by 2025,that is,the industry market scale will expand 142.5 billion yuan in 2023-2025.The compound annual growth rate will reach 36%in 2022-2025.
