In the afternoon of September 11, 2018 annual meeting of council representatives of China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Solar Thermal Energy Alliance) was held at the Hilton Hotel in Changzhou. Mrs. Du Fengli, Secretary-General of the Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, first reported on the main work of the Solar Thermal Energy Alliance Secretariat in 2017 and from January to August in 2018. Afterwards, the participants freely exchanged opinions on the key work of the Solar Thermal Energy Alliance and how to promote the development of the solar thermal utilization industry.
The Solar Thermal Energy Alliance was established in October 2009. It is one of the first 36 pilot alliances of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2012, it was rated as a Class A national alliance by the Ministry of Science and Technology. As a cooperative organization of industry, university and research technology innovation, the Solar Thermal Energy Alliance has actively organized innovation and cooperation in solar thermal utilization related technologies and fully displayed the functions of organization, coordination and bridge link since its establishment, providing technical support and services for China’s solar thermal technology innovation, industrial development and government management. At present, the cumulative number of the Alliance members has exceeded 100, covering key links of the entire solar thermal power energy industry chain. It has been rated as one of active alliances by the Liaison Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology Alliance for five consecutive years.
