2016 Technical Seminar of Solar Thermal Energy Alliance Member Visit & Solar Trough Collector Generic Technology, sponsored by China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) and organized by Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power Co., Ltd., was held in Chengdu on December 23. More than 30 representatives of the Alliance members and non-members participated in the seminar. Alliance members include Beijing TeraSolar Photothermal Technologies Co., Ltd., Changzhou Royal Tech CSP Limited, Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power Co., Ltd., CAMDA New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., Hubei Guizu Vacuum Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Shanxi Lihu Glass (Group) Co., Ltd., AGC Flat Glass (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Rayspower Energy Group Co., Ltd., Chengdu Broad Youth New Energy Co., Ltd., Chengdu Sherwoo Technical Co., Ltd. and Wanma New Energy Investment Consulting Co., Ltd.
The seminar was presided over by Du Fengli, Deputy Secretary General of the Alliance. Zhang Haobin, Vice President of Rayspower Energy Group Co., Ltd., attended and addressed the seminar. She said, solar thermal power generation is the most promising form of renewable and clean energy generation, and it is the best time to invest and construct solar power plants in accordance with relevant national policies and development plans. She hoped that relevant domestic equipment-producing enterprises will make joint efforts to develop technologies and improve technical strength to enhance the international competitiveness while meeting urgent needs of the domestic market.
The representative of Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power Co., Ltd. (the visited unit) first analyzed and summarized technical indicators of trough reflectors, and briefly introduced application cases of reflectors produced by Sundhy.
Then the representative of Chengdu Broad Youth New Energy Co., Ltd. introduced the trough collector design and optimization. It is reported that Broad Youth is developing the fourth-generation trough collectors, and verifying the product performance and life by means of wind impact analysis, part rigidity and strength analysis and testing, vibration mode testing, trap rate testing, etc. The representative of AGC Flat Glass (Dalian) Co., Ltd. introduced the application of solar low-iron ultra-clear glass in the CSP field. In his speech, he introduced the performance indicators, production process and follow-up applications of ultra-clear glass, and the performance requirements and advantages (such as weather resistance and ultra-low spontaneous breakage rate) of solar low-iron ultra-clear glass in the solar thermal power generation field. The representative of Shanxi Lihu Glass (Group) Co., Ltd. analyzed the production process of trough reflectors, and described the classification, production process, performance and requirements of trough collector glass.
In the afternoon, all representatives fully discussed the generic technology of and enterprise demands for solar trough collectors, including thermal efficiency testing of collector loops, wind load of collectors, wind resistance, installation precision and tracking precision testing in Northwest China, cleaning of collectors, etc.
After the meeting, all representatives visited the reflector production line of Sundhy (Chengdu) Solar Power Co., Ltd.
It is reported that the Seminar of Solar Thermal Energy Alliance Member Visit & Solar Thermal Power Generation has been held since 2009 and highly praised by the alliance members, as the communication and technical exchange of upstream and downstream enterprises are enhanced. By means of visit activities, the Alliance aims to discuss and compact the generic technology of solar thermal power generation, find the problems to be solved with joint efforts, establish the expert database, integrate the existing public technical service platforms or idle assets within the Alliance, build the special generic technology research center via fund raising, and coordinate and develop the key and basic generic technologies that can be widely applied and play a leading role in the industry.
