On August 25, the National Energy Administration ("NEA") issued a notice to start up 784 industrial standards development of energy field, of which includes 11 solar thermal power (CSP) plant related standards and 6 solar low/medium temperature application standards. These standards are expected to be completed by 2017.
Concerning the CSP, the NEA focuses on the Engineering Construction standards of CSP plant, which covers CSP plant pre-feasibility study report preparation procedure, in-depth content of feasibility study report of a CSP plant, in-depth content of CSP plant preliminary design report, solar collection system design specifications of solar tower power plant, CSP plant general layout and transportation design specifications, calculation guidelines of generating capacity and self-consumed power of a CSP plant, solar collection system design specifications of parabolic trough plant, heat exchange and thermal storage system design specifications, steam turbine and auxiliary system design specifications and thermal engineering automation design specifications.
As for the solar low/medium temperature application standards required by the NEA, it includes engineering and technical specifications of solar seasonal storage system, medium temperature solar collector, safety specifications of household solar hot water system, technical conditions of absorbing coating of medium temperature vacuum tube, engineering construction supervision and acceptance codes of solar hot water projects.
The governing body for CSP related standards is Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI) and the technical committee is the Standardization Technical Committee of power generation design. The main drafting units include EPPEI, China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, North China Power Engineering Co., Ltd, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co.,Ltd, Southwest Electric Power Design Institute Co.,Ltd.
The governing body for solar low/medium temperature application standards is China Association of Rural Energy Industry, and the technical committee is Rural Energy Standardization Technical Committee.
