Entrusted by National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, NPC representative Wang Gang submitted a proposal of accelerating the healthy development of CSP industry to the Second Session of the 12th National People's Congress in March, 2014. National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) gave reply to the proposal by a file (NDRC proposal [2014] No. 26) recently.
The file showed that Chinese government would give some support to the development of CSP industry. The government would launch a number of pilot projects based on CSP development plan, making certain requirements on technical level and equipment domesticization. Then those projects with advanced technology, high equipment localization and low cost would be chosen and get government support. On this basis, to promote the health development of CSP industry, relevant department would introduce unified CSP price supporting policies, and then it would gradually transit to photovoltaic benchmark price.
