Mr. Liang Zhipeng, deputy director of New Energy & Renewable Energy Department of National Energy Administration, visited Badaling solar thermal tower power plant, Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences on June 22, 2014, accompanied by director Li Bin from Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission and director Guo Yonghua from Development and Reform Commission of Yanqing county.
Deputy director Liang Zhipeng and his entourage visited 18 sets of solar thermal power testing instruments and equipments, some of which were developed by IEE and some were purchased, solar tower power plant, trough solar collectors and solar furnace, etc. The researchers and the person in charge of the plant introduced the related information in detail. Then the group visited Yanqing new energy science exhibition hall, which located in the tower.
Mr. Liang Zhipeng said the test capability of the experiment base impressed him deeply. He recommended the researchers to apply for national testing and certification qualifications, becoming a solar thermal power products testing base, so as to give full play to the role of it. Leaders from Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission said compiling industry standards and building inspection and test platform is also the science development target of Beijing City, so they would give special support in the construction of solar thermal power products testing base.
