2013 AsiaSolar Concentrating Solar Power Summit Forum Closed Successfully

2013 AsiaSolar Concentrating Solar Power Summit Forum was held in Shanghai, China on Oct. 28. The forum was organized by National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, National Renewable Energy Centre and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Pudong Sub Council, supported by International Solar Energy Society, European Solar Thermal Electricity Association, Australian Solar Thermal Energy Association and Concentrating Solar Power Alliance, and hosted by Shanghai Aiexpo Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. and Shanghai AiRui Exhibition Co., Ltd..

 

Mr. Liu Xiaobing, Secretary-general of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance presided the forum. Mr. Tian Li, vice chairman of National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance and also general manager of Huadian New Energy Technology Development Corporation, made keynote speech on the forum. In his speech, Mr. Tian Li introduced the significance of CSP technology development and utilization, the history, status and outlook of China’s CSP technology development and the related work conducted by Huadian Corporation.

 

Mr. Jiang Fengxiang, general manager of SCHOTT Solar CSP GmbH introduced the effects of evacuated collector tubes on electricity production. Ms. Zhou Lixin, representative of Schlaich Bergermann und Partner-sbp sonne GmbH, discussed the latest development of parabolic trough technology. Mr. Zhang Hua, general manager of China Division of Abengoa Solar, introduced the latest development of Abengoa’s CSP projects in the United States, South Africa and Spain. Nearly 100 representatives from both at home and abroad attended the forum.
